I'm beginning to feel like a Star Wars movie with all these titles.

6th May 2005
Dad picked me up from school and said that there was no mail for me, even though there was, because he knew I was waiting for it. I walked in and walked to the table and saw it and was like, yes, this is happening.
Anyway, basically I have to fill in some information about me, about what I do, write my host family a letter, get a health and dental checkup, get my year adviser to fill in some info about me and give them a transcript and agree to a whole lot of stuff.
Anyway, I’m going to shorten this because I have written quite a lot on the first 4 days, and I haven’t been accepted. Imagine what my entries will be like when I finally do go!

My friends are still hassling me, trying to figure out what I’m doing. Tina guessed that I’m going on exchange but I denied it. I have good reasons too! I gave Mrs Gardner the things she had to fill out and told her not to tell anyone. So that’s the end of this chapter.

10th May 2005
Today I went to school for band, I play the clarinet, and then left and went around running errands for going away. I signed out at about 10:20am and then went home and dropped off my clarinet, then I went to Kippax and got my bank statement and talked to someone at the bank about the easiest option of getting money over in Germany. Then Mum and I went to the post office and got passport application forms, then we sat around, got some food and then we went to the doctor. We had an appointment at 11:45, but they were about an hour late, so in I went, very ate and bored of sitting around. The doctor was really nice. Because I had never been to the doctor before she basically asked me outright all the questions that the doctor was supposed to answer, all of them bring no anyway (which would explain why I haven’t been to the doctor).
Then she gave me a needle, that was cool, I watched her make it up then I looked away while she did it, coz I really don’t like seeing them going in, its gross.
Then when that finished we went to Mayne to see if I could get a test for another thing, but they didn’t have it there, they had to order it in, so we went to Subway and got some lunch, finally. It was about 2:15 by then, so I went to one of those photo booths in the mall, got my passport photo, which turned out really bad, then I went and bought a film and got some more passport photos from the chemist.
I went home. Really interesting day!
