3rd May 2005
Today I was reading the brochure about the YFU program in class, trying to decide on the country I wanted to go to, as Juan told me to email him and tell him my country preferences, to see if the country would accept me. My friends saw it and asked me what it was. I told them that it was something and that it was none of their business, but they kept on hassling me.
I told them that when I made my decision about it I would tell them what was going on. And so I will.
Anyway, I got home from Canberra Youth Theatre, and decided that I wanted to go to Germany. Second Preference, Canada, third, Netherlands. So I e-mailed Juan, saying that, and then I watched the O.C and went to sleep.

Today I went to the athletics carnival, so my friends couldn’t hassle me about what the envelope was, thank god. It gets really annoying after a while, but I’m still going to hold out, and not tell them till its all final.
I got home and decided to go on the Internet, just to see if maybe there was an e-mail. I got on to msn, "No email messages." My heart sunk, I was really downheartened. I talked to Lor and someone else, I’ve forgotten who it was, and posted on JAF for about 10 minutes, when I looked back up to see if I had another message yet. And I did.
My heart started beating faster and I got really excited. Then I saw who it was from. The message thingy said, YFU-URGENT, and I got really ecstatic. Then I opened it and just stopped breathing. I didn’t read half the email.
What it said was that Germany accepted me and that he was trying to get through to me on the phone and that we would have to rush my application through if I still wanted to go.
Well, that pretty much sums it up.
I called him, and said yes, I still want to go, he said he would express post me the admissions packet, and I sent him the application form, and then it was two days before I would get the admissions packet.
