OK, First things first, some more pictures have been added onto my MSN Space...

http://spaces.msn.com/members/queen_vera

There is pictures of Berlin, a whole 132 or somehting of them, pictures of Hundertwasser Haus in Magdeburg and from the YFU Meeting in Großkorbetha.

So, Berlin!
We got woken up at about 8am by Dagmar, we have had a few really rainy days and we decided to go only if it was not raining, but it wasn't raining, so we got up, had breakfast and we left by 9:15.
I sat in the car listening to music and before I knew it we were driving into Berlin, at about 10:45. Not too shabby. I love the Autobahns here, it feels normal to go about 200km an hour, it seems soo slow to be going only 110.
First thing I saw of Berlin was this beautiful street with all the designer labels on it, it was very very nice to drive down and see them all. Like I could afford them though.
We turned down this road and then Oliver couldn't find a park for the cra, so he turned aorund and went back to the lights. I thought it was a bit weird that the acrs were only facing one day and when we got to the lights..."scheiße, einbahnstraße!" (Shit. One Way street.)
It was great, sitting at these traffic lights that didn't exist. We reversed back down and turned around then went around the block. Technically when we were reversing down the street we were going the right way though.

We bought tickets for a bus ride thingy through the city, you know those cool double decker buses? We got on that, went for a bit of a while and got off at the sony centre.
It was pretty cool, but not the most interesting thing.
We went further along the street and went down some escalators, but then we went straight back up them because Dagmar realised we missed the most important thing, The Berlin Wall!
I swear, it was so weird, seeing it. Like, there is one country, there is another.
We spent a while there, it is a pretty important part of Berlin#s history. It was so cool, but I thought it would be different. It is not a dissapointment though.

What else, I think I should make this a short post, everyone hates long posts.

Umm, Checkpoint Charlie was pretty cool. It was the place were East and West met, the easiest way to get across the border. It was full of tourists and there was a museum which I would have loved to have seen, but I didn't get to because we didn't have time. There was all thses people dressed up as soldiers and there was this one place with stamps and Oli stamped my hand and then the lady went psycho at him because you are supposed to pay for them. We ran off.

We also ate lunch there, mmm...pizza, but it was ruined with olives. EWWW!!

Pretty cool day, what else?
Brandenburger Tor is really cool, I love it! There was this street party there, with mad little shops with cool stuff and lots of beer and food places. There is nothing better than a hot pretzel. It was yummmmy!

Berliner Dom was amazing. haha, it is soo big.

In this mall thing there was this stall that said Tell us where you come from! And I went there and put a pin i Canbera, but there was already one in there. How cool! Two people from Caberra and only one from Sydney. Just shows how superior it is.

I only bought a few things, two postcards, a little berlin bear and a cute cow keyring. They are so cute! I want to hang them on my keys. I wish I could have done more shopping, but, yeah, no shopping was done because I don't think the family is really into shopping at all.

Well, today is a poublic holiday...it is nearly over. What a waste of my holiday, I didn't even get to go shopping :( I really need some new clothes.)

So to sum this up, Berlin is really cool!

Hope you are having fun on your long weekend, school holidays, whatever else you are doing.

Vera

P.S Emily, tell me what happened at Michel's! I want to know what went down! I need some gossip!
